The SWAG Performance Replacement Oil Cooler is a direct-fit replacement for the factory engine oil cooler found in 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke diesel engines. Designed to restore proper oil temperature regulation and coolant heat transfer, this replacement cooler is an excellent solution for trucks suffering from clogged, restricted, or leaking factory oil coolers.

Your engine oil cooler is responsible for transferring heat from the engine oil into the engine coolant. Over time, silicate buildup, casting sand, rust, and other cooling system contaminants can clog the small passages inside the factory oil cooler, reducing its ability to dissipate heat. As oil temperatures increase, engine oil breaks down more quickly, reducing lubrication and accelerating wear on critical internal engine components. Restriction in the factory cooler can also contribute to excessive engine temperatures and reduced cooling system efficiency.

The SWAG Performance replacement oil cooler restores proper oil flow and heat transfer while providing an OE-style fit and performance. Every cooler is manufactured to meet or exceed factory specifications for dependable long-term operation.

  • Overheating under load
  • Restricted coolant flow
  • Internal oil cooler leaks
  • Engine oil contamination concerns
  • Cooling system efficiency loss

We Strongly Recommend

Many factory oil cooler failures are caused by contamination remaining inside the cooling system. Whenever replacing the oil cooler, SWAG Performance strongly recommends:

  • Performing a complete cooling system flush
  • Replacing the thermostat if needed
  • Inspecting cooling hoses
  • Replacing old coolant with fresh Motorcraft-approved coolant
  • Installing a coolant filtration system to help prevent future debris from damaging the new oil cooler
