Elevate your  GM 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY performance with the South Bend SDDMAXDFY Street Dual Disc Clutch. This Stage 2 kit is engineered for durability and performance, offering Kevlar/Ceramic friction materials to match your driving needs. Each kit features dual discs for enhanced power handling, ensuring your truck meets the demands of towing, heavy hauling, and high-torque applications. Installation is made easy with included throw-out bearings and alignment tools.

Kevlar/Ceramic Multi-Friction Material: The Kevlar/ceramic combo clutch material combines the heat resistance and durability of ceramic with the smooth engagement and longevity of Kevlar. This dual-sided design features Kevlar fibers on one side for consistent, low-dust engagement and ceramic material on the other for increased friction and heat management. This blend makes it a versatile choice for vehicles requiring both drivability and enhanced performance. Ideal for light performance use, daily driving with occasional towing, and off-road adventures, the Kevlar/ceramic clutch offers improved torque capacity without compromising pedal feel. The ceramic side ensures superior heat dissipation under load, while the Kevlar side extends clutch life by reducing wear and clutch fade. This combo is perfect for drivers wanting a performance upgrade while maintaining comfort for regular use.

Sprung Hub Style: The sprung hub clutch is a versatile design focused on balancing performance with drivability. It features a series of dampening springs integrated into the hub, which help absorb vibrations and reduce shock during clutch engagement. By minimizing shock transfer, the sprung hub clutch prolongs the life of other drivetrain components, making it a reliable option for vehicles needing both comfort and moderate power handling. While slightly less direct in power transfer than a solid hub, it offers a superior driving experience for most street and light performance applications.

Button Disc Style: The button clutch disc, also known as a puck-style disc, features small friction pads (or buttons) spaced around the disc rather than a full friction surface. This segmented design reduces rotating mass, improving throttle response and heat dissipation. It is commonly used in performance vehicles where quick power transfer and reduced clutch fade are essential. While button discs offer improved power handling and reduced weight, they often result in a more aggressive clutch engagement with less modulation, making them better suited for racing, performance driving, and modified street vehicles rather than casual daily use.

Dual Disc: The dual disc clutch offers increased performance and power-handling capacity by utilizing two friction discs instead of one. This design effectively doubles the surface area for power transfer, allowing for greater torque capacity and improved heat dissipation. Dual disc setups are ideal for performance vehicles, heavy towing, and high-horsepower applications where a standard single disc may fall short. Despite the enhanced power capacity, dual disc clutches can still provide smooth engagement when paired with a sprung hub design. They strike an excellent balance between performance and drivability, making them a preferred choice for modified street vehicles and diesel trucks requiring extra holding power.

Stage 2 Clutch: A Stage 2 clutch offers a significant performance boost compared to Stage 1 setups. Designed with stronger friction materials it provides higher torque capacity and heat resistance. This stage is ideal for moderately modified vehicles, including turbocharged setups, nitrous systems, and track-ready builds needing enhanced grip and reduced slippage. Although it offers increased power handling, Stage 2 clutches can introduce a slightly stiffer pedal feel and more aggressive engagement than Stage 1, making them better suited for drivers prioritizing performance while still requiring reasonable street drivability.
