The RevMax 47RE/48RE Performance Tow/HD Valve Body 478-311 will upgrade the non-Transmission Throttle Valve Actuator (TTVA) valve body in your Dodge 5.9L Diesel. Are you looking to upgrade your valve body or having valve body issues? Well, you've come to the right place! RevMax is an industry leader in high-performance diesel transmission valve bodies. There are a lot of other competitors out there offering valve bodies, and sometimes it may seem hard to distinguish what's what and why RevMax may be a little more costly than some, but there are a lot of reasons. RevMax has proprietary technology and workflow processes that make their product superior to the competition. They also have the industry's best testing equipment and start every valve body rebuilding by vacuum leak testing every valve body after cleaning.

RevMax has been delivering high-quality computer dyno-tested valve bodies for many years. Their technicians have undergone extensive training and are some of the best in the industry. Unlike their competitors, RevMax does not do any reaming or valve oversizing by hand. All valve bodies are machined on their state-of-the-art Haas CNC milling machines, just like the factory did when they made the original valve body. These CNC machines cost a fortune, and using these machines eliminates human error, which is very common when valve bodies are machined by hand. The precise alignment of the reamer to the bore is virtually impossible to get perfect by hand, and this is where these CNC machines thrive.

RevMax uses a Rennishaw probe to dial in every valve body to the reamer prior to the valve being cut. This allows them to be within .0005" of the original centerline of the bore. Hand reaming is lucky to maintain .002" tolerances. Being off by just .001" can cause valves to stick, side load, and ultimately lead to transmission failure.

Every RevMax valve body has a predetermined protocol that is followed for each valve body type. This protocol ensures that the diesel enthusiast gets the highest quality product every time. They do not just go through and replace what is bad on each specific valve body. Instead, RevMax has a standard protocol that replaces all failure-prone components, even if they are still in good working order. In addition, RevMax then checks over the entire valve body to ensure that trouble-free areas are in good working order, and if not, they repair these areas as well. Finally, each valve body is dyno tested on one of RevMax's fully computerized valve body dyno machines. The results are compared against a brand new valve body and the data is then stored and available to be examined by the customer if requested.
