Stinger� system

 ISB PICKUP: Stinger builds onto the Git-Kit by adding a lifetime filter, BigHead� wastegate actuator, electronic gauges and a higher-calibrated OttoMind Tuner. The result is higher mid-range and upper-end torque. Banks stainless-steel Stinger affordably augments truck muscle with additional rear-wheel gains to +71 hp and +189 lb-ft torque, provides 7% better mileage, and protects diesel durability for the life of your engine.

Banks Ram-Air� filter
Banks Ram-Air filter is a lifetime, high-flow air-cleaner element that decreases intake restriction and sends more cool, dense ram-air into your engine. Even wet or dirty, Banks Ram-Air filters outperform conventional ones, because the multi-layer design traps moisture, dust and debris on the oiled, outer surface, allowing air to move through with ease. Includes a service kit for use every 30-50,000 miles.

 
BigHead� Wastegate Actuator
With twice the diaphragm area and spring pressure of the stock wastegate, Banks BigHead keeps the valve seated longer. BigHead produces massive torque right from idle, achieves a higher peak boost, sooner, and maintains more boost throughout the powerband by eliminating premature wastegate blow-open.
 
OttoMind� Diesel Tuner
OttoMind calibrates fuel delivery and injection timing to maintain proper air-fuel ratio. What's more, OttoMind protects diesel durability with Banks exclusiveAutoRate�, an electronic powertrain management system that automatically adjusts engine power output to a safe level for prevailing conditions. AutoRate provides torque converter clutch lockup protection (safeguards the torque converter during initial engagement of the clutch) and exhaust gas temperature limiting (EGT limiting with Git-Kit requires optional thermocouple). To further safeguard the engine and transmission, Banks offers ActiveSafety�: 
mission-critical safety-circuit design that functions as an engine and transmission watchdog.ActiveSafety's self-monitoring hardware and software ensure that OttoMind electronics will in no way impact the durability or function of the onboard vehicle electronics.
 
Monster� muffler
Replaces the factory's restrictive muffler with Banks' polished-stainless steel Monster muffler, featuring a straight-through 4"-diameter flow-path with Banks' designed expansion chamber which dissipates the annoying mid-range exhaust drone. Utilizes spun ceramic, very-high-temperature packing and delivers an authoritativebut never intrusiveexhaust sound.
 
Monster exhaust
Banks Monster exhaust outflows stock and the competition. The streamlined exhaust pipe and 4" tailpipe are formed of stainless, heavy-wall tubing with constant-diameter bends to slash backpressure. Huge 5" polished-stainless steel tailpipe tip sports a rolled edge. Double-walled design with 1/2" air gap keeps heat from tarnishing exterior mirror finish. Adjustable clamp for positioning on tailpipe.
 
DynaFact� gauges
Banks exclusive DynaFact electronic gauges offer precision that can't be matched by mechanical gauges. The pyrometer provides exhaust-gas temperature (EGT) measurements that are accurate within 15 degrees F at maximum operating temperatures. The pyro's spring-loaded, jeweled movement is resistant to vibration and sports a lit, easy-to-read 0-1500 degrees F face. Banks' 0-50 psi boost gauge monitors power and turbo performance. Includes 2-gauge mounting panel. Top-mount and/or pillar-mount options available.


 Application Notes

Cummins Engine Horsepower Rating is found on the engine identification tag, located on the side of the timing cover of the engine near the injection pump.

BigHead Actuator is not included in systems for 2001-02 model year 235-hp rated vehicles.
