The Banks Power 66798 Banks Derringer Tuner With iDash SuperGauge will monitor the engine and transmission while adding power to your 2020-2021 RAM 3.0L EcoDiesel. The Derringer Tuner offers greater torque and power gains across the entire RPM range, starting from idle all the way to the shift points. This module is dyno tuned to use data inputs such asvehicle speed, AFR, RPM, EGT, throttle position, and coolant temperature just like ECM your truck uses. The Derringer constantly optimizes the tunes in real-time due to its OBD-II connectivity, unlike other manufacturers.
The Derringer module contains 6 power levels that can be changed on-the-fly using the SuperGauge to offer best-in-class performance. Level 3 is engineered for work, such as towing a fully loaded trailer to improve passing times or on-ramp merging speeds.
The Derringer in tandem with other Banks products such as the PedalMonster throttle booster to enhance the throttle response even further. This module plugs into the vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port and is installed in line with your truck's engine sensors.
The ActiveSafety feature monitors the health of the Derringer circuitry and safeguards the engine and transmission. By analyzing the wellbeing of the module 100 times per second, the Derringer can instantaneously bypass if an issue presents itself. Once a problem is discovered, the Derringer returns the truck back to factory power and sets a device diagnostic code. Power is prevented from being added when the engine is overheated or too cold via the coolant temperature monitoring.
