The Allison 29541852 NSBU (Neutral Start Back Up) Switch is genuine OEM replacement for the malfunctioning NSBU switch in your 2004.5-2005 GM 6.6L Duramax LLY. The NSBU switch is mounted on the transmission housing and provides selector position information to the TCM. This switch detects the position of the shift lever and notifies the TCM that the vehicle is in Park or Neutral allowing the starter to engage. The NSBU switch can fail, causing issues like: DTCs for the pressure switch, fail safe mode, no start condition, and incorrect gear showing on display.
